During devcom and gamescom 2024, the largest games fair in Europe, ver.di-GDRT (Game Dev Roundtable) published a list of six demands for a better games industry. These demands were collectively discussed among game workers and were selected after the results of a nation-wide survey. This was a call for action, and the beginning of a long due collective discussion between workers and company owners. The ver.di-GDRT continues growing and helping workers get organized in their workplace, no matter the size of the studio. Some more works councils have been founded since.
