Workers at 2K Games' California-based motion capture studio have successfully voted to unionise. The election was supervised by the National Labor Relations Board and the action was approved on Friday with a vote of 15 for, 6 against. The 2K Mocap Union will unionise under the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE), which claimed in a statement that this will be the first unionisation of a motion capture studio in the games industry, and first under the Take Two umbrella.
